Introducing junior player, Holden Taylor
Holden Taylor, 12, is a junior pickleball player from Pawleys Island, SC. From the time he could hold a tennis racquet, his former college player father, Chris Taylor, had him on the tennis court. After playing in various tennis tournaments, Holden finally made the switch to pickleball in 2018 and has now begun playing tournaments. Most recently, he earned a silver medal in men’s 3.0 in the USAPA Mid-Atlantic Regional tournament in Myrtle Beach and a bronze medal in men’s 3.5 in Sarah Ansboury’s Palmetto Dunes tournament, where he partnered with his dad.
Holden is in the sixth grade at Waccamaw Intermediate School in Pawleys Island, SC, where he is a member of the band and is an accomplished student who is involved in the Gifted and Talented program. He also enjoys fishing, participating in CrossFit with his mom (USAPA Ambassador Emily Taylor), eating sushi, and playing with his two schnauzers, Otto and Rafa.
Holden looks forward to more tournaments, more travel, and mostly, more medals!!
